The British Motorcycle Charitable Trust (the BMCT) respects your privacy and we will only use your information in the way we describe in this notice. Your information is used for administering BMCT membership, activities and communications.

The BMCT is the data controller for the purpose of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. If your annual membership of BMCT is not renewed through non-payment of the renewal subscription, then your data will be retained for twelve months to facilitate re-joining. When no longer required your data is destroyed securely and permanently.

We feature a new member list in the BMCT Quarterly newsletter where your name and county of residence will be published if you have consented to this when you applied to join.

In addition, and only if you have given explicit consent, we might use your information to send you other communications which we think may be of interest to you and to send you reminders after your membership has ended. You can withdraw consent to this at any time.

We require any third party to which we may send your contact details for providing us with services to satisfy us that your data will be held securely and used only for the purposes we have authorised.

 You are entitled to a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct any inaccuracies. We will respond to you within 28 days of receiving your request.

 You may ask us to stop using your information, and to delete it. If you ask us to do this, we will not be able to continue to provide membership services to you.

 If you have consented for us to send you other information that we think may be of interest to you, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

 You may make a complaint to the Information Commissioner (www.ico.org.uk).
